Val W. Finnell, MD, MPH

Dr. Finnell graduated from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1994. He completed a residency in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a second residency in Preventive Medicine/Public Health from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. His MPH practicum experience was completed at the Samueli Institute in Alexandria, VA where he focused on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) research. Additionally, Dr. Finnell has a graduate certificate in Asian Religions and Healing from Boston University School of Theology. He completed his medical acupuncture training with the Academy of Pain Research under the tutelage of Dr. Tsun Nin Lee in San Francisco, CA. He is also certified in Battlefield Acupuncture through the United States Air Force.
Dr. Finnell is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) and is a former Chief of Staff at the 61st Medical Group at Los Angeles Air Base. He is currently stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB where he leads the Applied Technology and Genomics Center and holds the rank of Colonel. |
