Amos is a practicing acupuncturist, herbalist and researcher in the field of Chinese and Integrative medicine. He is a graduate of the American College of TCM in San Francisco in the late 1990’s and The Ben Gurion University school of life sciences in Beer Sheba, Israel. He is the founder and chairman of the SIRF Sino-Israeli Research Foundation dedicated to joint Israeli-Chinese educational and research collaboratives in Chinese Medicine. As the founder and former head of the Integrative Medicine Research Unit of Aasaf Harofeh Medical center, he headed the Acupuncture for Acute Back and Neck pain in the Emergency Room and the CALM BP Lifestyle Modification Study for high blood pressure clinical trials. He chairs the annual Israeli Drug-Herb-Supplement Interaction-Integration Symposium and serves as an adjuvant lecturer in the school of pharmacy of the Hebrew University School of Medicine.
